Information about outings and social events will be listed in
the monthly newsletter and on this website. Members can sign up at the monthly meetings.
Wed 13 Mar: Visit to the Council House, Market Square, 11.00 am. Free. Alderman Brian Grocock will show us round.
Mon 25 Mar: Visit to Playhouse for ‘The Children’, 7.30 pm. Cost £7.50. Payment is required by the monthly meeting on Thurs 8 Feb. Bring your money in an envelope with your name on it.
April 22-24/25: A 2- or 3-day trip to York. Bookings for 23 people have been made at the Pavilion Hotel and dinner at the hotel has been arranged for Tues 23 April. Further information about tours and visits will be emailed shortly.
Wed 22 May: Visit the Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington. Arrive 10.40 am for guided tour at 11.00. Cost £9; limited to 18 people. Sign up at monthly meeting on 14th March. Note: there are some steep stairs in the cottages.
Thurs 23 May: Visit to Playhouse for ‘Punch’, 7.30 pm. Cost £7.50. Payment is required by the monthly meeting on Thurs 14 Mar.
Thurs 27th June : A provisional booking for up to 30 people has been made for a Princess Cruise with afternoon tea on the River Trent. Cost £22.75 per person. Departs Riverside Lodge at 12.30 pm, returning 3.30 pm. Sign up at the meeting on Thurs 8 Feb with a £3 deposit (non-refundable).
Fri 12 July: Tea celebrating the 10th anniversary of our u3a at Sir Julien Kahn Pavilion, West Park, Loughborough Rd, West Bridgford. Cost £10 (part subsidised by Executive Committee). Arrangements to be confirmed but can cater for up to 90 members. Sign up at the monthly meeting.
Tues 19th July: Visit to Calke Abbey meeting there at 11am. NT members (with your card) have free entry, non-members £7.50 for park and gardens only or £12.50 to include house. Car share may be available.
Members can sign up for any of these events at the next monthly meeting.
