HOW TO JOIN OUR u3a
Membership is open to all who are in their "Third Age". While the u3a Trust give no precise
definition of what the third age is, they usually suggest it refers to those that have retired or have left full time employment or given up full-time care giving (children). We as a u3a think such a definition is way too narrow (with many over the national pension age continuing to work these days), thus we prefer to ask: Do you believe in our motto - Live, laugh and learn? Are you interested in what we do? and Have you time to participate in what we do? If you answer yes to these simple questions we would love you to join us.
You can join the u3a at any monthly meeting, look out for our Membership Table, manned by our Membership Secretary (Carol Shuttleworth).
You are welcome to attend our Monthly Meetings for up to 2 visits (to try us out) before you will be expected to officially join.
We welcome all new members and are happy for people to attend meetings to try us out before they make a commitment to join.
Members of other u3a's can join us and will be entitled to a reduced membership fee, as long as they provide proof of their membership of another u3a.
We pride ourselves - "we are a very friendly u3a".
